Peter Schofield is a barrister and a former university teacher. He is Director of HR & Legal Servicesat EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation. EEF provides employment-related services to its 6000 member companies and represents the interests of the industry to government.
Peter’s role combines that of employment lawyer with lobbying government on the potential impact of proposed legislation. In that capacity, he was part of the group assisting Michael Gibbons in his review of Dispute Resolution and was a member of the BERR Employment Law Simplification Panel. He is a member of the Employment Tribunal National User Group and secretary to the EAT User Group.
