Pete Lowe
Full Time Officer
The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust
Pete Lowe is a Registered General Nurse who has been a trade union representative for 19 years.
He was the Trade Union lead for Agenda for Change across the West Midlands SHA and has worked closely with most NHS Trusts across the Region.
He has had responsibility for Wolverhampton New Cross for almost 5 years and was brought in as relationships between management and unions were failing and a situation of mutual mistrust existed.
Pete states ‘I have always believed that all staff in the NHS have a strong belief in the public sector ethos. Whilst we may have differing opinions on the way forward, it is essential we foster an atmosphere that encourages open debate and meaningful partnership. New cross hospital has demonstrated that even in the toughest environments, if the will is their from all parties, new relationships can be fostered and partnership working introduced to the benefit of all stakeholders.’
Pete has recently been successful in obtaining a job with Managers in Partnership (MiP) a new and exciting trade union that seeks to give a voice to senior managers within the NHS.
