After graduating from university with a hospitality degree, Carolyn Reed started her HR career in the hotel industry working for both Hilton Hotels and The Forte Group.
She then changed industry to the retail sector working for Debenhams as a Personnel and Training Manager during the demerger with the Burton Group.
Moving next into the travel sector, Carolyn worked for First Choice Holidays as their Group Management Development Manager.
In the past 6 years she has worked for Norwich Union (part of the AVIVA group) in a variety of roles, her most recent as Director of HR Change Consultancy. In this role she was responsible for overseeing and delivering all the HR aspects of major business change, most notably the reduction of 4000 staff with a £100 million cost saving in 2007. She was also responsible for developing an HR change consultancy practice across the UK.
Carolyn has had a career that has focused both on change in organisations and individuals, especially by coaching, gaining a masters degree in Coaching and Mentoring in September 2003.
Carolyn is now the HR Business Partner for Norwich Union Healthcare.
