Chairman: Dr Geoff Davies, chairman, Lacon OH Consultancy
Dr Geoff Davies qualified in Medicine from Nottingham University in 1975. He served in the RAF for 22 years, initially doing primary care and GP vocational training before moving into the specialty of occupational medicine. In 1996 Dr Davies started work as a consultant in occupational medicine in civilian life and set up Adastral Health which was respected for its professional and honest approach. He developed experience in the commercial aspect of occupational health (OH) services as well as providing OH services to NHS Trusts, police forces, fire services, local authorities and private industry in the manufacturing, catering, utilities, construction and service sectors. He is currently developing a consultancy business, Lacon OH Consultancy and supporting the Commercial Occupational Health Providers Association to help develop the OH services industry.
 
Mary Brassington, occupational health manager, Heart of England NHS Foundation
Mary Brassington manages the occupational health service for the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust which is comprised of departments on the Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Solihull Hospital and Good Hope Hospital sites.   In addition to the core business for Trust staff, she manages contracts with several large organisations in both the public and private sector and a number of SME’s accessing specific services through NHS Plus. Mary began her occupational health career in the private sector and moved back to the NHS in 1990. She is a visiting lecturer on the OH Diploma course for the University of Warwick and an external examiner for the Specialist Public Health Nursing BSc course at the University of Plymouth. She is the current and founder Chair of the Association of Occupational Health Nurses in the NHS (ANHONS).
 
Mark Holt-Rogers, director, Wellbeing4business
Mark has a proven history in building propositions and products that enhance performance, manage risk, improve personal wellbeing and maximize employee engagement. His specialisms include organisational wellbeing strategy, the business side of wellbeing, best practice intervention design and UK, Europe and US market knowledge of both proactive and reactive health management. Mark has extensive experience in Absence Management system design, data management and case management He  currently sits on the government’s Strategy Group for Health and Wellbeing.
Nick Dent, partner, Barlow, Lyde and Gilbert
Nick Dent joined BLG in 2005 after 9 years at two other leading City employment practices and was promoted to partner in May 2006.  He has advised clients in the financial and professional services sectors on all employment issues, including high-value discrimination and bonus claims. He has a particular speciality in advising on collective redundancies, having advised on a national newspaper on a complex restructuring and union consultation, and two major investment banking mergers. Nick is identified by Chambers and Partners 2008 as an up and coming individual in employment law.
 
Su Wang, Group Head of Health, Royal Mail
Before joining Royal Mail Group in 2002, Su was a specialist occupational physician with British Airways where her responsibilities included pilot licensing medical examinations, employment guide policies, attendance management programmes, stress awareness, release of medical records, employee opinion survey facilitation, and general occupational issues. Prior to British Airways, she worked as senior occupational physician with London Transport where amongst occupational health care of bus and train drivers, she was involved with the design of bus cabs, automatic gates, and other ergonomic issues. As an interest she gained a PSV to drive red buses. Dr Wang is an examiner for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine. She was the Faculty representative at the Civil Aviation Authority Medicine Forum.
 
Dr Lucy Wright BMedSci, BMBS, FFOM
Dr Wright is a consultant occupational physician who has worked for Atos Healthcare since January 2006. She is currently their director of clinical services with special responsibility for clinical issues, quality and professional advice to improve the delivery to the occupational health contracts. Lucy worked for 10 years for BP as regional medical director for Europe and managed health teams and worked on business health issues in the UK, Europe and the USA. She was a member of the BP Global Health Leadership team addressing strategic business issues related to health. Before working with BP she worked for nearly 7 years with the Health and Safety Executive in their Employment Medical Advisory Service. Lucy is a member of the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council and an examiner with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
 
Joy Reymond, Head of Rehabilitation Services, Unum,
Joy Reymond heads the specialist rehabilitation team at Unum which assists employers and their staff to manage sickness absence and its associated costs. Their primary goal is to work with employers and affected employees alike, in order to facilitate a timely return to work whenever possible. Reymond is also a board trustee with the Vocational Rehabilitation Association and a founding member of the UK Rehabilitation Council. Unum is the UK's leading provider of group income protection insurance, with over 35 years of experience. At the end of 2007, Unum protected in excess of 1.7 million lives through more than 16,700 schemes and in 2007 paid total benefit claims of £273 million - of which more than £190 million related to income protection claims.
