Peter leads the IES work on reward, and has published reports on reward, human resource planning, HR shared services and outsourcing. He has also written numerous articles and books on these subjects, and gives consultancy support to organisations on issues concerning HR strategy, planning and resourcing, retention, workforce structures and organisation, trends in personnel management, performance management and reward. He joined the IES in 1995 after a 16 year career with Shell. Prior to this, Peter was a senior research officer with the British Institute of Management.
